Family Centered Early Supports and Services
Family Centered Early Supports and Services (FCESS) is a Federal and State mandated program that provides developmental therapeutic early intervention services to infants and toddlers (birth to age three) who have an established medical/genetic condition, 33% developmental delay and/or who are at-risk of developing a substantial developmental delay.
Services are typically provided in the home (however can be provided in other natural settings as requested by family) and in a transdisciplinary fashion. A team of early childhood professionals including licensed educators, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech language pathologists, and other specialized consultants work in conjunction with the eligible child and family to help the child develop skills to his/her full potential as well as provide the family with strategies to directly support and reinforce their child’s development. At no time will services be denied based on a family’s ability to pay.
Northern Human Services, FCESS program, is committed to providing children and families in Carroll, Coos and Upper Grafton counties, with exceptional early intervention services and care coordination. We understand that it can be very scary and intimidating learning about developmental disabilities and established conditions, finding and obtaining specific services, and advocating for the needs of your child. Our program is designed to be family centered and work around your schedule and family needs.
Anyone can make a referral – parents/guardians, friends, relatives, medical doctor, child care provider, etc. If you know of a child in Carroll County, Upper Grafton & Coos County who may benefit from an early childhood screening, developmental evaluation and/or early intervention services, please contact:
